Pursuant to Bank Indonesia regulation No.14/17/DASP concerning the implementation of Card-based Payment Instrument activities, it is regulated that starting January 1, 2015 every credit card transaction must be authorized through PIN. Therefore, we recommend every Panin Credit Cardholders to follow these measures to ensure transaction safety, convenience and continuity:
1. Immediately activate your Panin Credit Card PIN at the nearest PaninBank ATM or via automated telephone service (IVR).
2. Always use your Panin Credit Card PIN during transactions and ask cashiers at merchants to always use a PIN.
3. Keep your PIN confidential, never give your PIN information to anyone, including to parties claiming to be from PaninBank.
4. Do not write down your Panin Credit Card PIN in a place that can be known by other parties.
5. Change your Panin Credit Card PIN regularly.
6. PaninBank will never recall your Credit Card and PIN for any reason and offer, either through courier or PaninBank employee.
7. Currently, not all stores accept transactions using PIN, therefore credit cardholders should contact CallPanin immediately if their Panin Credit Card is lost.
In accordance with Bank Indonesia Regulation No.14/2/PB/2012, regarding the amendment of Bank Indonesia Regulation No.11/11/PB/2009, regarding the implementation of card payment instrument activities, it is regulated that issuers and acquirers are obliged to maintain that credit cards are not used outside the designation as a means of payment.
Credit card cash swipe/gesek tunai is a cash withdrawal activity not conducted through an ATM machine. In gesek tunai, the cardholder initiates a retail transaction cash "purchase" transaction, where the cardholder can get the amount of cash needed with a certain fee charged by the merchant.
We inform all Panin Credit Card holders:
1. Panin Credit Card may only be used for retail transactions and cash withdrawals at ATMs and tellers.
2. Cash withdrawals outside ATMs and tellers, namely through swiping at merchants are not allowed.
3. PaninBank has the right to evaluate any transactions made in a suspected gesek tunai merchants by unilaterally reducing the credit limit or closing a credit card which was used to transact at the suspected merchant.
