  • Phishing is an action taken by an irresponsible person to take personal data such as User ID, PIN, card number, account number etc.
  • Phishing is done anytime and is not limited by time, while the place can be anywhere, both in Indonesia and abroad. Usually phishing uses a fake web site that is similar to the official/original web site and added certain logos that can convince customers. Sending a filled-in form via e-mail asking for a user ID, password or PIN and asking customers to perform “Token Synchronization” at Panin internet login. This technique is done to obtain User data such as user ID, password or PIN illegally.

How to prevent phishing? How is phishing done?

Common techniques that can be used to prevent phishing are as follows:

It could be that this is the work of irresponsible people to trick you. This type of fraud is known as phishing.
  • Use of fake e-mail addresses and graphics to mislead the Customer so that the Customer is provoked to accept the validity of the e-mail or web site. In order to appear convincing, perpetrators also often use logos or trademarks belonging to official institutions, such as banks or credit card issuers.
  • This forgery is carried out to lure victims to submit personal data, such as passwords, PINs and credit card numbers
  • Create a fake site that exactly matches the official site or the phisher sends an e-mail containing a link to the fake site.
  • Create hyperlinks to fake websites or provide filled out forms that are affixed to e-mails sent.
