Important! Keep your OTP (One Time Password) Code Secret from Anyone

The "Personal Data Fraud/Social Engineering" crime mode is still used by criminals. Therefore, you must know how criminals work to avoid these crimes.

How do criminals work?

  • The perpetrator uses an application to change the caller ID to resemble a CallPanin number.
  • The perpetrator makes an online transaction and requires an OTP (One Time Password) code for the transaction to succeed
  • The perpetrator calls the victim pretending to be a bank employee, trying to convince the victim to provide an OTP code (One Time Password)
  • The OTP (One Time Password) code that has been obtained is used to complete the transaction

Tips to keep your OTP secure:

  1. Be careful of scam if you receive a call from a number that resembles a CallPanin number.
  2. PT Bank Pan Indonesia, Tbk (Panin Bank) never asks for OTP (One Time Password) code via SMS, Telephone or any social media including for transaction cancellation.

Do not give the OTP (One Time Password) code to anyone, including those who claim to be Bank employees. Customers will be liable for any online transactions authorized with verified OTP
